Acknowledgement

I thank Dr. Ken for his support and guidance, he's a skilled lecturer and yes sometimes he was strict with us and to be honest his sctrictness made us complete what we had to do, thank you I learned a lot.

Finished!!!

Here's a quick video walkthrough for the website:

Pages

I added pictures for all the pages even for pages that didn't have products so the pages wont be dull and boring, for e.g. I added a telephone pic for Contact Us page, a money symbol for the Buying page, and etc.

I made the mobile pages a little more unique, here's a sample video for one of the mobile pages:

I made this effect with flash, so when the mouse pointer moves on the mobile pic it becomes bigger, and there was a problem when I inserted the flash movie into dreamweaver that the movie had a white background but I fixed it by added a parameter to the flash movie properties, first I clicked on the flash movie, properties, parameters then I added a parameter which is "wmode" then added a value which is "transparent". here's a picture to explain everything:

The final result of the GUI

Before I show you the final result here's the Spry menu bar that I created from dreamweaver:

Its quite easy you just have to select "Spry" from the menu then "Spry Menu Bar" then you select the layout either vertical or horizontal, and I added some shadowy effect on the right and bottom part of the bars.

The final result:

The Proposal

I changed the idea completely because its hard to find information and demographics for these type of companies in such a limited time.

The new initial proposal will be creating a company website for a mobile phone retailer, since its a wide collection of handphones I'll be limiting it to the best and most efficient 1-3 handphones from the best manufacturers like: NokiaSamsungMotorolaSony Ericsson and iPhone from Apple.

Name of the company:

Phonnection

The target audience:

1- Young tech elites: comprise 6% of the population and their average age is 22 years old. All of them have internet access and most of them have cell phones.

2- Old wired baby boomers: comprise 6% of the population and their average age is 52. This group spends more money online than any other group. They all have internet access and 82% have cell phones.

3- Wired GenXers: comprise 18% of the population and their average age is 36. All of them use the internet. Cell phone use is 82%.

4- Wired Senior Men: comprise only 1% of the population and are very highly educated. Their average age is 70 and they have been online for about 10 years.

These will be the main audience targets, there are other audience that I didn't mention which sometimes serf the web and almost half of them use cell phones, so they wont be our main targets.

The chart below will give a clear look on the target audience which I made with microsoft excel:

Purpose:

As customers serf the internet for buying cell phones they sometimes find it hard to purchase what they're looking for, the main reason is the wide range of cell phones yet little difference between each kind features and prices which makes it hard to choose but our company will be straight and direct to the customer needs as I mentioned before I'll be limiting the choices for the best and most efficient cell phones to eliminate confusion and re

ducing time wasting. And from the demographics above you can see that our audience targets also use the internet heavily, this is a big advantage to us since our clients must use the internet plus that we're going to sell 3g cell phones for our clients.

Sub-Topics:

Other than the home page there will be other links:

1-Phones: It'll include overviews, prices and images.

2-Phone Accessories: The latest accessories and technologies for handphones.

3-Services: It'll include ringtones, games and FAQs

4-Contact Us.
